MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Phumlisa Madiavula (7), a talented surfer with Mossel Bay’s The Surfer Kids NPO, recently competed in the Sea Harvest Western Cape Grommet Games in Muizenberg, Cape Town.
He was previously selected to the Eden Surfriders team that participated in the games.
This young surfer performed excellently throughout the competition, winning the U8 boys division. As a result, he was crowned that division’s champ.
He is also the youngest Grommet Games champion to come from The Surfer Kids NPO.
Other members of the NPO who also competed include Lihle Ngubo (15), who placed second in the U16 boys division, and Yusrah Faraoh (9), who won the U10 girls division.
