MOSSEL BAY NEWS - It’s the time of the year again for the Heart-to-Heart Care Centre’s Annual Christmas Boxes of Joy initiative.
Heart-to-Heart is an NPO and the social responsibility arm of New Life Church in Mossel Bay.
The Heart-to-Heart Care Centre’s Orphaned and Vulnerable Children’s Programme was launched in 2003.
The centre aims to give 200 orphaned or vulnerable children a Christmas Box of Joy.
Overwhelming response
Last year, the goal was to bless 200 children, but due to the overwhelming response, the centre was able to bless 230 orphaned or vulnerable children from nine local primary schools in Mossel Bay.
Members of the community and businesses are asked to sponsor one box or more to bring joy to a child.
Investment of R400
Your investment of R400 will buy a child an outfit and shoes; basic toiletries, such as a toothbrush, toothpaste, soap and facecloth; a game or toy; snack/sweets; and stationery.
The Christmas Boxes of Joy will be assembled by Heart-to-Heart volunteers and staff.
Each box will be handed to a child personally.
