MOSSEL BAY NEWS - This Valentine’s Day, the Greater Mossel Bay SAPS Football Club is celebrating love and unity and raising awareness against gender-based violence with a soccer tournament to be held at the Ext 23 sportsground.
The tournament will see 12 local teams, including the police’s, competing, all in the name of showing love and fighting gender-based violence through sport.
One of the founders of the police’s soccer team, and the tournament, Sergeant Malusi Matiya, said families, friends and couples are welcome to come and enjoy a day of fast-paced games and togetherness.
He said he hoped those attending will take to heart the message of standing together against gender-based violence.
The gates will open at 08:00 on 14 February, and there will be a few local businesses with stalls.
