MOSSEL BAY NEWS - A two-vehicle crash on the N2 near the Gourits Bridge has left several people injured, including a family of four with two small children.
The crash occurred late this afternoon, 9 March.
A relative for the injured family, Natasha Van der Westhuizen alleged that the family had been on their way home with two employees when the accident took place.
She said that the mother, father, their son and daughter, who are under the age of five, were all in the vehicle when the crash occurred. Their vehicle had landed on its roof in bushes at the roadside.
Van der Westhuizen said the family has been taken to hospital, as well as the two employees, where they will find out the extent of their injuries.
It is understood that there were three occupants in the other vehicle and one sustained light injuries to his head. The driver of that vehicle had declined to speak with Mossel Bay Advertiser who was on the scene, due to being in shock following the crash.
A media enquiry has been sent to the police. An update will be provided as soon as more information becomes available.
