GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - The wildfire is not yet contained, with active fire mainly along the northern flank above Mooihoek, on the Mossel Bay and Oudtshoorn border.
Current operations involve a helicopter suppressing the area, supported by ground teams.
Mopping up operations continue along the southern flank, north of Ruiterbos Village.
The objective is to suppress all active flames along the northern flank, after which mopping up operations will continue.
Stakeholders include GRDM Firefighters, CapeNature, Department Forestries Fisheries and the Environment, Cold Stream Timbers, Working on Fire, and the Southern Cape Fire Protection Association.
