A 55-year-old man was arrested on charges of dealing in drugs and selling liquor without a licence.
A Southern Cape Police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Chris Spies, said the Da Gamaskop Police and members of the Mossel Bay Sea Border Unit had conducted an operation in Raymond Mhlaba Street, Albert Luthuli Park, Mossel Bay, yesterday evening as part of the police’s concerted efforts to rid the communities of illicit drugs.
They searched a house and found the drugs, 965 Mandrax tablets and the tik, which are estimated to be worth R115 000, as well as the liquor and cash.
Spies said the man is expected to appear in the Mossel Bay Magistrate’s Court once he has been charged.
