MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The Mossel Bay police are searching for a white Isuzu bakkie with a CBS registration, believed to have been involved in a hit-and-run incident that left a pedestrian with injuries to his legs and arms in Louis Fourie Road in Heiderand yesterday afternoon, 7 June.
The incident took place near the traffic lights at the traffic department at about 17:30.
Police spokesperson Sergeant Chris Spies said a 32-year-old man had been crossing the road when the bakkie hit him. He was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment with injuries to his limbs. It is unclear at this stage what the man’s current condition is.
Spies said a case of reckless and negligent driving has been opened at the Mossel Bay Police Station. He has urged anyone with any information on the Isuzu bakkie to contact the Mossel Bay police (044 606 2805) or Crime Stop (08600 10111).
