MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Point High School recently brought the timeless musical, The Beauty and the Beast, to life in a vibrant school production that captivated audiences with strong performances, impressive vocals and polished stagecraft.
The showings took place from Monday to Wednesday, 11 to 13 May.
The production followed the classic story of Belle, a bright young woman who feels out of place in her village, and the Beast, a cursed prince who slowly discovers compassion and love.
As their relationship grows, they must overcome the threat of Gaston, who leads an angry mob against the Beast.
In a dramatic finale, Belle's declaration of love breaks the curse, transforming the Beast back into a prince and reinforcing the message that true beauty lies within.
From choreography and vocal direction to backstage co-ordination and technical execution, the production team ensured a professional standard that highlighted the talent of the learners involved.
The production was met with appreciation from audiences who praised both the cast and crew for delivering a memorable and heartwarming theatrical experience.
