MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The CBS Legends will once again host a prestigious annual soccer challenge for over-40 football veterans on 21 and 22 March - the fourth edition of the CBS Legends Over 40s Football Tournament.
Teams from various parts of the country will come to Mossel Bay for the occasion.
The event takes place at the D'Almeida soccer fields and at the sport facility in Ext 23.
The first edition of the tournament was held in 2023, and FC Legends from Cape Town were officially announced as the first team to claim the CBS Legends Tournament title.
In 2024, Barcelona Legends from Gqeberha won the second edition.
In this year's soccer tourney, 24 legendary teams will be battling it out for the first prize of R17 000, and the runners-up will be going home with R10 000 in cash.
The participating teams:
Group A - Bongolethu Legends, Gansbaai Legends and Sundowns Legends.
Group B - Mdushane Legends, Peace Makers Legends and Barcelona Legends.
Group C - BCMMM Masters, CX All Stars and Ratanang Legends.
Group D - Mossel Bay Masters, Saldanha Veterans and FC Legends.
Group E - Kouga Legends, Avolon Legends and Eden Legends.
Group F - Sibanye Legends, Plett Masters and CBS Legends.
Group G - Kasi Masters, CCK Legacy and Police Legends.
Group H - Germany's Legends, Southernwood Masters and Rhodes University Legends.
