National Police Day has been celebrated annually in South Africa on 27 January since 2005. The theme for the 2014 National Police Day celebrations is 'Policing Through Harmony'.
In Mossel Bay, a comprehensive programme celebrating the SA Police Service coincides with the Dias Festival and residents are invited to attend the various events.
On Friday, 31 January, as of 14:00, the community is invited to the D'Almeida Stadium for a fun-filled programme.
Commemoration events will be held at various venues nationwide.
