MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Firefighter Nadia Julies received recognition for her dedication to sport at the Mossel Bay Council meeting on Wednesday.
Nadia Julies lives out her passion for sport and was recently honoured by the Western Cape Government at the provincial sport awards, where she was named Volunteer of the Year.
This accolade follows earlier awards from the Eden Sports Council, for both the Volunteer of the Year 2019, as well as for the team she coached, which was named Finalist of the Year.
This U19 netball team won gold at the national championships.
Nadia will soon represent the Western Cape at the national sporting awards.
At the council meeting on Wednesday, October 30, she also received the Executive Mayor's Certificate of Recognition for her dedication to sports development and administration.
With firefighter Nadia Julies is director of community services Elize Nel, portfolio chair for community services councillor Niklaas Booisen, and acting mayor Alderman Dirk Kotzé.
