MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Cindy Bessinger (31), the woman accused of defrauding the Diaz Hotel and Resort in Mossel Bay of nearly R1.5m, made an appearance in the Mossel Bay Regional Court this morning, 26 March.
While in an administrative role, Bessinger allegedly created invoices for services to and products for the establishment, but made the payments into her own account, and in some instances, her former boyfriend’s.
She is facing almost 40 counts of fraud, which allegedly took place between October 2024 and March last year.
Today’s matter was postponed to 11 May to allow Bessinger’s legal representation some time for consultation and for copies of the case documents to be made.
Bessinger was previously released on bail of R20 000. Her bail has been extended to her next date of appearance.
