MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Mossel Bay resident Stephano Reid (33) will make his dream to compete internationally in powerlifting come true this year.
He competed in the WPC National Championships in Benoni on 14 June and broke the record in the national squat, bench, deadlift and total records.
Reid also broke the world deadlift record. He qualified for the word championships, which will be held in Durban in November. He came first in the open division, category 60kg.
“I am determined to fly the Mossel Bay flag high,” a proud Reid told Mossel Bay Advertiser this week.
Besides his passion for powerlifting, Reid is passionate about his work as a pastry chef.
