MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The Mossel Bay Provincial Hospital welcomed four healthy babies born yesterday, 25 December.
Proud moms Adri-Lee Hartzenberg (21), Mamello Solemone (26), Thabiso Yeye (37) and Octavia Seconds (25) welcomed three healthy baby girls and one baby boy on Christmas Day.
Hartzenberg was one of the first to deliver a Christmas baby throughout the Western Cape province, welcoming her daughter at 00:22, weighing 3.27kg.
The Western Cape Department of Health has confirmed that in total, 171 babies were welcomed on Christmas Day at public hospitals throughout the Western Cape.

“Welcoming new life at Christmas is a profound blessing, a reminder of hope and renewal during this season of joy. We extend heartfelt congratulations to the families of these precious little ones.
This miracle would not be possible without the dedication of healthcare workers who, even on Christmas Day, serve tirelessly, often away from their own loved ones to care for others,” said Mireille Wenger, Western Cape Minister of Health and Wellness.
The Mossel Bay Provincial Hospital was the only hospital in Mossel Bay to deliver Christmas babies, as no babies were delivered at the Life Bay View Hospital this year.
