MOSSEL BAY NEWS - A 43-year-old man was brutally murdered, reportedly in front of his girlfriend, in New Rest, Asla Park, in Mossel Bay on Saturday, 7 June.
He was stabbed in the head and chest multiple times.
Ditaba Sihlobo was at his girlfriend's home in Zandela informal settlement in New Rest at about 23:30, when his girlfriend's ex-boyfriend allegedly arrived at the home.
KwaNonqaba Police Station spokesperson Warrant Officer Kappie Kapp said it was alleged there was an argument between the two men, followed by a scuffle, which ended when the ex-boyfriend allegedly stabbed Sihlobo in the head and chest.
Kapp said it was alleged the ex-boyfriend then fled the home. Police and emergency services were called soon after and Sihlobo was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency medical services.
A suspect has not yet been arrested. Anyone with information on the incident that could help lead to an arrest is urged to call the investigating officer of the case, Warrant Officer Geoffrey Moos (044 606 5629).
