MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The Da Gamaskop Police arrested a 25-year-old man in connection with a case of drunken driving in Hannes Pienaar Street, Bay View, Hartenbos, at 20:30 on Friday 3 October.
A police spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Malcolm Pojie, said the officers had initially responded to an accident on Louis Fourie Road that evening, but upon their arrival, there was no vehicle.
However, they saw some evidence of an incident from some markings on the scene.
While there, they received a tip-off that the vehicle was in Hannes Pienaar Street. They proceeded there and found the man in the vehicle.
Pojie said a breathalyser test was conducted on the man and when he failed, he was arrested.
Pojie said he will be summoned to appear in the Mossel Bay Magistrate’s Court once he has been charged.
