MOSSEL BAY NEWS - A 22-year-old Buisplaas woman has opened a case of rape with the KwaNonqaba Police Station after an incident yesterday afternoon, 14 September.
The station’s spokesperson, Warrant Officer Kappie Kapp, said the suspect is allegedly known to the victim.
According to the victim’s statement to the police, the suspect had called her to his home in Buisplaas just after 13:00 on Sunday. She alleged that once she arrived, he grabbed her by the arms and raped her.
It is alleged that when she kicked and screamed, the suspect sprayed something towards her genitals. It is unclear at this stage what he used.
Kapp said the case is under investigation and has been handed over to the Mossel Bay Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit. No arrests have yet been made.
