MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Some dancers from the Steps Dance Academy in Mossel Bay proudly represented the Western Cape at the Federation of Dance Sport South Africa National Championships, hosted by the South African Body of Dance (Sabod) in Roodepoort, Gauteng, on Saturday 2 August.
Keira Meiring (12) performed a tap dance solo, Abigail Reyneke (16) a jazz solo and Zandré Grove (20) both jazz and modern solos, after being awarded their official Western Cape provincial colours for dance sport.
These three talented dancers represented the Mossel Bay community with grace and excellence. Keira and Abigail were selected to be a part of the national team, granting them the opportunity to represent SA internationally at various International Dance Organisation (Ido) World Championships taking place later this year.

Those dancers selected for the national team will receive their official SA colours if awarded by the Federation of Dance Sport SA - an honour that places them on the world's stage among the world's finest.
Keira is excited to compete in the Ido Tap Dance World Championship in Prague in the Czech Republic in October. Abigail will travel to Belgium in November to compete in the Ido World Jazz Championships.
Sabod is affiliated to the Federation of Dance Sport SA, enabling qualifying dancers to earn their official provincial and national colours.
