MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The well-known young musician, Jovann Rocher, had the honour of opening the Artscape’s Kunstetreffers’ gala evening event on Thursday 16 October.

“It was such an inspiration for him to experience first-hand what he is working so hard for,” said Jovann’s mother, Suzette. 

“We are super grateful and so proud of Jovann.”

Jovann is a multi-instrumentalist from Mossel Bay who performs on seven instruments, including piano, cello, guitar, viola, glockenspiel, alto recorder and soprano recorder.

Artscape brought the magic of the Kunstetreffers to the Riversdale Civic Hall on 15 and 16 October, describing it as a vibrant celebration of community, culture and creativity. It included performances in ballet, African contemporary dance, opera and music with the gala evening.

“The Artscape team were amazing and so professional. They serve as a perfect example of how it should be done professionally. There were also very talented local artists and we can be proud of the amazing talent in the Western Cape,” Suzette said.
