MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The KwaNonqaba Community Policing Forum's (CPF) annual Sport Against Crime Tournament took place on Freedom Day, 28 April, at the Extension 23 fields in KwaNonqaba.
The all-day event drew players from the primary schools, Isalathiso, Erika, Imekhaya, TM Ndanda, Garden Route, Friemersheim, Ridgeview and Global Academy, for a day of great sportsmanship and fun.
Isalathiso were the ultimate winners of the tournament. This is the fourth tournament they have won.
They received gold medals and were sponsored new kit.

Imekhaya won first runner-up and the team received silver medals while Erika won second runner-up and received bronze medals.
The player of the tournament was Oluhle Tolbat, who attends Imekhaya Primary.
Mvelo Golimpi of the KwaNonqaba CPF said the purpose of the tournament was to give the children, the future generation, a chance to display their skill and potential on the soccer field. He said the tournament is also a way of encouraging the youth to stay out of trouble and engage in sport instead.
"On behalf of the Kwanonqaba CPF, we express our sincere gratitude to all the stakeholders who contributed to the tournament and made it happen," he said.
