MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The MOTH Blaize Away Shellhole and Mossel Bay executive mayor, Alderman Dirk Kotzé, are inviting residents and former armed forces members to the Remembrance Day Memorial Parade on Sunday, 10 November, at the Cenotaph war memorial at The Point.
Remembrance Day is on 11 November, but the day will be commemorated on Sunday in Mossel Bay.
Refurbished
This year the parade coincides with the official opening of the refurbished Cenotaph, celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Cenotaph.
If you are part of the MOTHS, a former military member, a security or emergency services member, or simply interested in history, do attend the event, starting at 10:00 for 10:30, the Blaze Away Shellhole and the mayor invite.
Attire
MOTHS members should note that the required attire is the MOTHS 1 uniform with medals, with the option to wear a beret.
Members of other organisations must adhere to their specific dress code.
Wreaths
Attendees are welcome to bring wreaths.
These should be given to the usher for recording, to be presented during the wreath-laying ceremony.
