MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The Da Gamaskop Police have asked for the public’s assistance in the search for the 69-year-old Daniel Francis Petersen, whose family reported him missing on 8 May.
A Southern Cape Police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Chris Spies, said the reports suggest Petersen was last seen in Mandela Street, Sonskynvallei, Mossel Bay, last Friday. He has not been seen or heard from since.
Petersen was wearing a black top and blue jeans with white spots at the time of his disappearance. Spies said a search for Petersen is under way.
Spies said the search Petersen will resume tomorrow, 15 May.
"Da Gamaskop Police Station management have thanked everyone involved with the search, which includes local police, K9 with the deployment of a search and rescue dog, community volunteers, as well as individuals who supported the search party with drones," he said.
