GLENTANA NEWS - Motorists are urged to avoid Hoogekraal Road in Glentana and to travel carefully due to an ongoing vegetation fire along the road this afternoon, 29 December.
The Mossel Bay Municipality said the fire is also affecting Morrison Road and has asked that motorists find alternative routes.
It said fire crews from George Municipality and Garden Route District Municipality are currently on the scene and are actively working to contain the blaze. It added that the smoke from the fire may cause reduced visibility and that there are traffic delays.
It said the Mossel Bay Municipality's law enforcement is on Morrison Road to alleviate congestion.
It further advised motorists to keep their windows closed to reduce smoke inhalation, to yield to emergency vehicles and to follow instructions from officials on site.
