Film Fest starts with glamorous green carpet welcome

MOSSEL BAY NEWS AND VIDEO - The Garden Route International Film Festival (GRIFF) started this evening with a glamorous green carpet welcome for guests.

VIPs looked suitably swanky as they entered the main festival venue, the Diaz Hotel.

It is the first time the festival is being held in Mossel Bay, having started in Knysna. Representatives from sponsors of the festival, the Mossel Bay Business Chamber, the municipality and others arrived this evening for the opening of the festival, where there will be refreshments and festival director Patrick Walton is giving a speech.

Later on, guests will watch one of the festival movies, Barakat.

Mark Oliver's company sponsored the welcome drink at the festival.
