MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The Garden Route International Film Festival (GRIFF), which started on 2 August and ends on Saturday, 5 August, offers something for everyone - from those who love watching movies, to those who wish to act in or make movies, to businesses wishing to become suppliers to the film industry.
It is taking place at the Diaz Hotel, Mossel Bay. There is even a drive-in option, outside the hotel, for those who enjoy the drive-in movie experience.

Many of the workshops are free and ticketed events are affordable, giving everyone the opportunity to learn about the business.
"GRIFF supports emerging and established filmmakers worldwide and encourages community participation and learning through innovation," a festival statement noted.
The online option provides access to some podcasts and seminars, as well as streaming video.
There is a youth programme, an industry programme and a variety of workshops. Some of the exciting instruction includes how to take drone footage and training on how to do stunts.
The large number of guest speakers include a number of experts and enthusiasts from South Africa and overseas.
Hollywood actor Hakeem Kae-Kazim, who starred in Hotel Rwanda, is attending GRIFF this year and is one of the judges of the movie-making competition.
For more information on the themed evenings, tickets, festival passes, workshops, film screenings and opportunities for business people, see www.griff.co.za.
