MOSSEL BAY NEWS - A local woman who has a heart for children, Elize Fourie-Hendry, initiated a teddy and soft toy drive through the line dancing group she belongs to.
The group, in Reebok, is called JK Line Dancing, run by Janine Killian.
The aim is to collect more than 200 teddies and soft toys to support children who must testify against suspects in child abuse cases.
Target
Elize said: "We are approaching our target fast."
The teddies will go to the intermediary room for children at the Mossel Bay Magistrate's Court primarily and the police's Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Investigations Unit in Mossel Bay.
Elize noted: "Our campaign ends next week Friday, 12 July, during a JK Line Dancing social at the Reebok hall."
If you would like to donate teddies, contact Elize (082 372 5535 or elizefh@gmail.com).
