MOSSEL BAY NEWS - On 14 October, an open day for the disposal of hazardous household waste that will take place at the Mossel Bay Town Hall and on 15 October at the Great Brak River Municipal offices from 08:30 to 14:30, respectively.
This includes electronic or electrical equipment, batteries, any old and used motor parts or oil, and more. Bear in mind that medical waste is not included.

What does the law say?
In terms of section 8(1)(c) of the Mossel Bay Municipality By-Laws Relating to Public Nuisance:
No person shall – “Accumulate, dump, store or deposit any article or thing of whatsoever nature, which in the opinion of the Municipality is a waste material or likely to constitute an obstruction in any street, public place or built-up or vacant land”.
