MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The Da Gamaskop Police celebrated the women of its station with a lunch at the Diaz Hotel in Mossel Bay on Wednesday 26 August, in honour of Women's Month.
The theme for Wednesday's event was 'Bloom Where You Are Planted', a reminder of women's strength and resilience.
The women were not only treated to a delicious lunch, but also heard from guest speakers offering financial advice and assistance for women, as well as from representatives of the Western Cape departments of health and education.
The women were praised for the incredible work they do within the police and for the ways they have supported themselves and each other.
"You are all beautiful and resilient women," said Precious Khohliwe of the Da Gamaskop Police.
A get-to-know-each-other game was also played among the group, creating a fun and celebratory atmosphere.
