MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Two men, armed with knives and a gas pistol, robbed two women in Kiewiet Street of their handbags and cellular phones this morning.
The perpetrators escaped into a kloof.
Within minutes of the police being alerted, members of the newly established Major Offences Reaction Team of the Da Gamaskop Police Cluster responded.
With the assistance of the KwaNonqaba Crime Prevention Unit and the Langeberg K9 Unit, police members searched the very dense vegetation in the kloof.
The two perpetrators were soon traced and arrested, much to the delight of a large crowd of onlookers who had gathered.
