MOSSEL BAY NEWS - KwaNonqaba Police are investigating a case of murder, attempted murder and arson following an incident at an informal dwelling in Stofile Street, KwaNonqaba, on Saturday, 5 October.
Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Kappie Kapp said police were called to the scene of a possible unrest situation and arrived at 07:00 at Stofile Street to find an informal dwelling in flames and two men on the ground outside the home.
Kapp there were several people surrounding the two men.
One of the men, believed to be in his late 20s, was declared dead at the scene by Police Forensic Pathologists. Kapp said the cause of death would be determined once the autopsy had been completed.
The second man, also believed to be in his late 20s, was rushed to Mossel Bay Provincial Hospital with open wounds to his upper body and head. He was in a critical condition.
The name of the deceased is known to the police but will not be released until his next of kin have been informed. The identity of the surviving victim is not yet known.
