MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The Mossel Bay Business Chamber's monthly networking event was held at PH Attorneys Southern Cape in Sioux Street on Tuesday evening, 17 February.
PH Attorneys introduced the members of their team and gave a description of their expertise.
Nico Marais, the only original member of Oosthuizen, Marais and Pretorius, which was originally established in 1952, gave a brief account of how the firm had progressed through the years and how it came to join PH Attorneys in a rebrand that saw the company now named PH Attorneys Southern Cape.
"We have worked together with PH Attorneys for some time, but with this step, we have unlocked a multitude of skills and resources and we are equipped to handle just about any situation," he said.
Dr Conrad Coetzer, a veterinarian in Plettenberg Bay and a well-known television personality, gave a brief account of the present foot-and-mouth crisis. He was asked about the safety of the meat of an affected animal and gave a positive answer - that the meat is 100% safe for human consumption.
"The virus affects cloven-hoofed animals and is not a threat to humans," he added.
Mayor Dirk Kotzé enlightened the guests on the upcoming new solar plants as well as the progress with the Louis Fourie roadworks.
