Also, the Mossel Bay Sailing Club will have its traditional annual opening sail past at 13:00 on Saturday to mark the start of the sailing season.
Then, part of the bumper sailing weekend in Mossel Bay is the annual Bart's Bash Race at 15:00 on Saturday.
Bart’s Bash is a sailing race which takes place at hundreds of venues around the world, with thousands of sailors and hundreds of different classes of boats.
Founded in 2014, the event has been verified by the Guinness World Records as the largest sailing race in the world.
Sailors' finishing times are taken and the distance of the race course. This information, with the boat type, is sent to the organisers and they work out each sailor's finishing position in the global race.
"It's extremely exciting," Holden says.
