MOSSEL BAY NEWS & VIDEOS - Mossel Bay's own Oscars started this evening with deputy mayor Cliffie Bayman urging the models and actors to be role models.

The awards are held each year by Gemini Model and Talent Agency which secures jobs for locals on TV, in movies and in clothing catalogues, among others. They also perform at local functions.

There were monologues, dancing and musical numbers at the Oscars.
