MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Since exercise has been allowed under level 4 of the national lockdown, streets have been abuzz with activity.
This, however, is raising growing concern.
According to the head of the Provincial Traffic Department in Mossel Bay, Reinet Sarikakis, both motorists and those exercising are at risk.
“Not only are we seeing groups of people exercising without observing social distancing and not wearing their masks, but they are not mindful of the traffic when crossing the road.
"Many of those exercising are not wearing reflective clothing, which means that motorists cannot see them.”
Sarikakis said that Louis Fourie Road onto the N2, direction Cape Town, is of particular concern.
