MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Four teenagers accused of attacking a Da Gamaskop police officer with an axe on 25 May have been granted bail of R500 each.
They were released from custody following their appearance in the Mossel Bay Magistrate’s Court last Friday, 13 June.
In the early hours of 25 May, a constable (30) with the Da Gamaskop Police Station was attacked with an axe in Albert Luthuli Park, Mossel Bay.
The constable sustained life-threatening injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital.
The Da Gamaskop detective branch’s investigations led them to arrest the four teenagers, aged 16 to 19, within 24 hours of the attack. They are facing charges of attempted murder.
