Agent secures '7de Laan' spot for young actress

MOSSEL BAY NEWS - A Mossel Bay model and talent agent is super chuffed because one of her actresses is appearing on popular TV soapie 7de Laan on 22 September.

Frieda van der Walt secured the spot on 7de Laan for Kay Lee Botha (14).

Van der Walt explains: "I belong to a WhatsApp group of agents and I saw the WhatsApp asking for extras, aged 18, for 7de Laan. Kay Lee looks older than 14 years, so I sent in a photograph of her, as well as the acting and model link for Kay Lee on my website. They immediately said 'yes' and I organised it in a few hours. They contacted Kay Lee the same day."

Kay Lee appears as an extra in the episode and her role is to cheer, clap her hands and jump up and down during the programme, in which a talent competition is being held. Also, an added bonus was that Kay Lee's mother and grandmother also appear on the same show.

Kay Lee's mom, Jesica Dippenaar, said: "We were there the whole day to support Kay Lee during the filming. On the day two extras cancelled, so we were asked to stand in for them."
