MOSSEL BAY NEWSFLASH - A man from Mossel Bay, Donald Smit, was sentenced to effectively 32 years imprisonment for repeatedly raping two 12-year-old girls that he met at church.
The accused raped the two victims over a period of months and was arrested in 2012.
Both victims attended school in Mossel Bay.
Smit was earlier found guilty on two charges of rape, two charges of sexual assault, two charges of sexual exploitation and one charge of statutory rape.
Most of the incidents happened in his car.
Smit was sentenced in the Oudtshoorn Regional Court today.
