MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Two people have died and six others were seriously injured in a serious accident on Bill Jeffery Street, Mossel Bay, on Sunday evening, 28 June.
The driver of a Hyundai H100 light delivery vehicle lost control of it, left the road and crashed into a fence at about 17:00. The Da Gamaskop Police have registered a case of culpable homicide.
Police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Malcolm Pojie says the driver and a passenger were trapped inside the vehicle and had to be freed using the Jaws of Life.
Six occupants were on the back at the time of the incident. Pojie says one of them died on the scene from multiple injuries.

Seven people in total were transported to hospital. One of them had sustained minor injuries, and the other six were treated for serious injuries.
One of the injured victims died in hospital later, bringing the total number of fatalities to two.
The identities and ages of the victims have yet to be confirmed.
The circumstances surrounding the incident are still being investigated.
