GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - The Carpe Musicam! Orchestra and Choir Joy to the World Christmas concerts will consist of 90 minutes of "hand-crafted, artisanal, free-range, organic music", according to a spokesperson for Carpe Musicam!
"Just about every item concentrates on the nativity scene, but there are also some modern takes on the more commercial side of Christmas."
There will be two performances.
The first will be at the Outeniqua High School Hall, George, at 19:00 on 15 December. The second will take place two days later, on 17 December, at 18:00, in the Mossel Bay Town Hall.
Tickets are priced at R150 for adults and under 18s enter free this time. Tickets can be booked online via www.carpemusicam.co.za or bought for cash at the door before each show.
Tickets for Carpe Musicam!’s Christmas performances tend to sell quickly, so buy your tickets soon. Refreshments will be on sale an hour before each concert, or you are welcome to bring your own picnic. Limited tables will be available for the early birds.
The Carpe Musicam! Pops Band and Roots4Rhythm Marimba group will provide light music entertainment for 30 minutes before each performance.
The full orchestra and choir will be joined by the Pops Band members.
