MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Mossel Bay residents have reason to applaud the work ethic of municipal employees who do not hesitate to work way into the night to get the job done.
Late on Tuesday the main water supply line in the vicinity of Dias Beach had to be repaired.
Considering that a number of residents in Dias may be left without water supply, the employees soon had a workforce on the job even though it entailed using four wheel drive vehicles to get to the area where the work had to be done.
To ensure that residents do not go without water, a water tanker was placed conveniently close while workers worked until almost midnight to repair the problem.
Municipal Manager Adv Thys Giliomee, who visited the site in support of the workers thanked the employees for their dedication, especially at a time when visitors are flocking to Mossel Bay.
"This was no easy feat, but the team was in high spirits and well prepared with the necessary generators and lighting to conclude the work as soon as possible."
