MOSSEL BAY NEWS AND VIDEOS - There is a wonderful, colourful display of blankets in the Mossel Bay Town Hall today. Knitters and crocheters from Mossel Bay and surrounds certainly outdid themselves in their efforts for the 67 Blankets for Mandela nationwide project.
More than 400 blankets are on show.

Zelda la Grange, who used to be President Nelson Mandela's personal assistant, was at the town hall, as well as arts celebrity Carolyn Steyn, who started the 67 Blankets project.
They are both giving speeches at the event.
Mossel Bay is second on the list of places for the 67 Blankets roadshow. Cape Town was first on the list.
The Curro independent school marimba band provided a festive atmosphere in the Mossel Bay town hall
Traditional dancers also provided a burst of colour, with their bright outfits.
Mossel Bay mayor Dirk Kotzé was there and expressed his delight at the sight of the warm blankets on this cool, overcast day, and gave a speech.
There are singing and musical performances by locals at the town hall today. Refreshments can be bought and there is entertainment for the children. There will be a raffle ticket draw at 14:30. Activities are expected to end at 15:00 today. Members of the public are encouraged to visit the town hall. Entry is free.
