Lee Lombard photographed these aloes on the pavement in Port Natal Road, Hartenbos.
Val Marsh took these extraordinary photographs of aloes at the Great Brak train station garden. She was enthralled by the patterns on the leaves. An export on flora told her they were caused by the imprint of young leaves on the older leaves. "The patterns look like braid to me," Val enthused.
