MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Mossel Bay has extended its twinning agreement with the city of Denpasar in Indonesia for another five years.
The Mossel Bay Municipality signed an extended twinning agreement with the city at the council chambers on Tuesday, 31 January.
Speaking at the event, Mossel Bay mayor Dirk Kotzé said he was excited about the extension.
The agreement is intended to foster closer relations between Mossel Bay and the city of Denpasar, resulting in specific opportunities to be investigated and expanded on.
"The extension will build on the relationship that was forged in 2019 and will promote long-term, mutually beneficial collaboration and cooperation between our communities."
Kotzé said the collaboration between the cities will allow the youth of Mossel Bay the opportunity to learn new languages, broaden their horizons and experience different cultures.
The consul-general of Indonesia, Mohamad Siradj Parwito, signed the agreement with Kotzé.
