MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Mossel Bay Municipality again urges residents not to use garden hoses to water their gardens and to heed the water restrictions that are in force.
Despite the recent downpours, dam levels continue to fall.
In total, 4.20 mm of rain fell in the catchment area of the Wolwedans Dam, resulting in the dam level today being on 43.25%.
The Klipheuwel Dam received 11.40 mm in the catchment area, bringing the current dam level to 34.51%. The Ernest Robertson Dam, the smallest dam of the three, received 8.60 mm in the catchment area, bringing the dam level to 88.07%.
Please adhere to the water restrictions that apply.
While the seawater desalination plant is operational, the water from this source is expensive. It is in everyone's best interest to save the water in our dams for as much as possible.
Report transgressions to admin@mosselbay.gov.za or SMS 44802 or call 044 606 5000.
