The Mossel Bay Advertiser wants to collect stationery for underprivileged children who are going to Grade One next year.
We have asked schools to send us their stationery lists, to make sure we collect the correct products. Eight schools reacted: Friemersheim Primary School, Ridgeview Primary, Laerskool Hartenbos, Denneprag, Garden Route, Groot-Brak Primary, Isalathiso and Diaz Primary School. Unfortunately, we cannot accept any further requests.
These schools' respective stationery lists have already appeared in the Mossel Bay Advertiser, and are available on request should anyone want to make a donation towards a specific school. However, we have compiled a list that combines all the various schools' lists.
Now we ask of you, the public, to support our Stationery Drive. We would love to honour all the request that we have received from the various Mossel Bay primary schools, but cannot do so without the generosity and kind-heartedness of local residents and businessmen.
Maybe you have extra office supplies lying around - perhaps a ream of A4 paper, or a packet of pencils that have never been opened. Maybe you are finishing school this year and still have a pencil sharpener or FlipFile that is still in a good condition? Please have a look at our list and see if you can help.
Donations may be dropped off at the office of the Mossel Bay Advertiser: 9 Church Street, Mossel Bay.
Donations will be given recognition in our newspaper (unless the donor prefers to stay anonymous).
Businesses or individuals who wish to donate, may send an e-mail to mari@groupeditors.co.za or phone Mari Scott on 044 690 7156.
