MOSSEL BAY NEWS - A Mossel Bay local is doing so much to promote the town just through his passions for marine life, snorkelling and photography, that he deserves a mention.
Last week Johan Swanepoel reached more than 100 000 people, just through sharing his photographs taken of marine life at The Point in Mossel Bay.
He told the Mossel Bay Advertiser: "On Sunday morning (14 March) I went for a dive at The Point and took some photos.
"I created a post on my Facebook page, Swimming-sharkville, where people could see the photographs of the area and the underwater life.
"I shared the post to Mosselbaai op sy beste on Monday which reached 16 000 people and on Tuesday, I shared it countrywide to a page called Ek rys deur my pragtige land Suid-Afrika.
"It's day three (Tuesday) and the post has reached 82 000 people, with almost 3 000 likes and more than 500 amazing comments and this is still growing."
Proud Mossel Bayer, Swanepoel says: "It's all about marketing the town and our tourism industry needs all the help it can get to recover after the Covid-19 lockdowns."
