MOSSEL BAY NEWS AND VIDEO - An interdenomenational prayer service took place in the parking lot at De Bakke Beach in Mossel Bay on Sunday, 18 July.
It was well attended. People arrived in their vehicles and tuned into 107 FM.
When it was appropriate to clap, they hooted their hooters.
It was widely publicised on WhatsApp groups beforehand that the service would take place at 10:00.
Because of Covid-19 lockdown restrictions, people were not allowed to get out of their vehicles.
Various pastors and preachers from different churches were given topics to pray about.
They prayed for Mossel Bay, they prayed about the looting taking place, about safety in South Africa and Covid-19, among other topics. Although not allowed, some people did get out of their vehicles when worship songs were played and they sang and lifted their arms in praise.
