MOSSEL BAY NEWS AND VIDEO - National Police Safety Month which was in September, was celebrated with a prayer day for essential workers in Mossel Bay on Thursday, 30 September.
Through the Crime Prevention Through Divine Intervention strategy, the police's Da Gamaskop Cluster hosted a service at All Saints Church in Mossel Bay, honouring all essential workers for their sacrifice.
The event also paid tribute to police officers who died in the last two years.

The Da Gamaskop drill squad impressed at the event and there were notable speakers, such as retired police colonel Una Saayman.
Those who attended found the message was valuable and encouraged those on the front line, police spokesperson Sergeant Kappie Kapp said.
After the church service participants moved in a motorcade past the Da Gamaskop Police Station in honour of fallen heroes.
Fallen heroes were honoured at the Da Gamaskop Police Station.
Colonel Khutula Masakala, Da Gamaskop station commander and Lieutenant-Colonel Boniswa Mpato, commander of the Sea Border Unit were among the decorated officers at the event.
The police drill squad gave a salute while the national anthem played.
