MOSSEL BAY NEWS & VIDEO - There was truly a variety of cultures in the VIP tent at the opening night of the ninth Dias Festival. Representatives from the Portuguese, Chinese, Indonesian and German consulates were there.
Mossel Bay executive mayor, Alderman Harry Levendal welcomed all with a speech. He stressed the importance of the festival entertainment being free.
He noted the importance of the festival theme - Where Cultures Meet.
Tertuis Simmers, Human Settlements MEC represented the Western Cape government in the VIP tent.
