GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - A man from Kwanonqaba in Mossel Bay, Akhona Ntlonti (33), was stabbed to death in Tabata Street, Thembalethu in the early hours of Sunday morning, 26 January.
According to the police it is alleged that Ntlonti and a friend were walking along Tabata Street at about 00:30 when they were approached by two unknown suspects who wanted to rob them of their cellphones and wallets.
They refused to hand over their belongings and a fight ensued. "Ntlonti was stabbed on his upper body and fell down in the street," said Thembalethu police communications officer Captain Dumile Gwavu.
"A passer-by in a Volkswagen Polo took him to George Hospital where he died on arrival. The suspects ran away from the scene."
No one has been arrested.
